NIDON Clean Energy (NiCE), a division of NIDON Computer Corporation, specializes in renewable energy system design and integration. We provide energy efficiency, energy quality, energy storage, renewable energy (small wind power and photovoltaic systems) and information technology solutions.

Consulting on utility interconnection of 350 kw photovoltaic system for SolarWave Hawaii on their Rengo Packaging  project in Kapolei.

Lead the design build team that contracted sale of first in the world combined elevator backup power with hybrid energy storage and photovoltaic renewable energy solution capable of scalable and modular expansion and Time of Use when rules are updated for Pualani Manor in Honolulu, Hawaii


Agriculture renewable energy & battery system


Designed and coordinated construction for first in world off grid hybrid Aquaponics and Hydroponics green house for Mari's Garden using ZBB/Ensync power electronics with Aquion Energy Aqueous Hybrid Ion batteries.


Energy conservations and efficiency


Energy conservations and efficiency gains via exclusive sale's and service representation in Hawaii through its spin off company, Hawaii Power and Lighting LLC, for US Lighting Tech's induction lighting products. Customers include Airport Trade Center, Queen's Medical Center, Tripler Army Medical Center, and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.


Small Wind Turbines


NIDON has lead the first on Oahu fully compliant installation of an urban small wind turbine including the mandatory Conditional Use Permit Minor prerequisite for applying for a Department of Planning and Permitting building permit.

NIDON provides information technology consulting and project management primarily on IT and data center design, project management, consulting, assessment, troubleshooting, and remediation.

Data center consulting includes providing core strategy for power distribution, power quality, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), generator backup power, air conditioning, fire alarm and fire suppression.

Experience in designing power systems for several large Hawaii corporations lead to the formation of a new division focusing on energy systems, NIDON Clean Energy.

Headquartered in Aiea, Hawaii, NIDON is locally owned and operated.


Data Center Design and Construction Project Management


• Project management and consulting for building the Hawaiian Airlines data center including providing core strategy for power distribution, power quality, backup power, air conditioning, operator work areas, fire alarm and fire suppression, and equipment layout.


• Project Management and consulting for the design and construction of the only SUNGARD Recovery Services Inc., cold site in Hawaii. Also contracted by SUNGARD Recovery Services to manage cold site, provide technical support,coordinate business continuity testing between their mainland mega centers and in state customers, assist in marketing disaster recovery services.


• Project management and consulting as a sub under Orange Systems to perform analysis and remediation of their US Army customer data center at Building 220 Fort Shafter, Hawaii. This involved review and remediation of electrical power distribution and air conditioning. Later contracted to provide field engineering by Orange Systems to their US Army customer at Fort Shafter maintaining IBM mainframes and peripherals.


• Project management and consulting for the construction and equipping of new data center for American Savings Bank. Included fire suppression, UPS and generator backup power, move in and activation of data center plan within an eight hour window,  demolition, construction, and data center activation.


• Consulting for Aloha Airlines for Systems Operation Control Center (SOCC) design, review of planned new site including review of existing electrical and air conditioning systems. Reviewed company’s  airport data center as well as servers spread throughout the corporate offices for consolidation into the SOCC. Performed current IT hardware review for capability, capacity, utilization, efficiency, and mission reliability.



Computer Center Operations Design


• Project management and consulting services to Honolulu Fire Department Federal Credit Union, Molokai Community Federal Credit Union, Bishop Insurance, and Fresh Start Bakeries to develop joint computer center operations.


• Project Management for Honolulu Fire Department Federal Credit Union design, installation, administration, and maintenance of network, WIN 98 and 2000 desktops, and WINNT servers.


Disaster Recovery


Project Management and technical services for emergency disaster recovery for Honolulu Fire Department Federal Credit Union after a catastrophic building fire on the upper floor totally destroyed their offices, network, computers, and servers. Efforts resulted in resumption of operations in three days at location identified and procured in the building next door. This involved assisting in

finding a location, coordinating local TELCO, installing a network from scratch, procuring hardware and software, installation of all equipment and applications, and the subsequent relocation to permanent facilities within three months. Applied and configured Veritas, DoubleTake, WIN/NT, 98, and 2000.



Ground Penetrating Radar, Infrared, Power Quality, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies


Ground Penetrating Radar Service


Created TST Hawaii, Inc. a new Ground Penetrating Radar and non disruptive/ non destructive testing, scanning, and toning service in 2012.  Customers include Kiewit Building Group,  

J. Kadowaki, Inc., HSI Mechanical, and Hakikawa Electric.


Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)


Partnered with IPS out of Torrance California to provide sales support for Piller Dynamic/ Flywheel Uninterruptible Power Supplies/UPS/400Hz motor generators, including field maintenance support at Bank of Hawaii Dillingham and Kapolei datacenters, State of Hawaii Capitol datacenter, State Judiciary datacenter, Liberty House Kalani Street datacenter, Honfed Bank, US Navy Makalapa and JICPAC.


Infrared Thermographic Service


Partnered with IPS out of Torrance California to provide sales and infrared thermographic service support for various Hawaii customers such as Ala Moana Hotel and Star Supermarkets.
